Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how DictaFlex works.

What does DictaFlex actually do?

You dictate or upload a recording, and DictaFlex writes a structured draft document — a clinical note, letter, report or case record. You review, edit and approve it before it is finalised.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan gives you up to one hour of dictation a day for your first month, so you can test DictaFlex with real work before paying anything.

What does a paid plan cost?

Plans start with Bronze and rise through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Enterprise as your usage and team size grow. Yearly billing is discounted against monthly. Current prices are shown on the pricing page.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel or change plan from the billing screen in your dashboard. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Which microphones work?

Any microphone your browser can see, including laptop microphones, USB headsets and professional dictation devices. Philips SpeechMike record, stop and rewind buttons are mapped, and you can pick your device in the dictation screen.

Who can see my recordings and documents?

Only you and the people in your workspace whose role allows it. Access is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface, and every view or change is recorded in the audit log.

Are my recordings used to train AI models?

No. Your recordings and documents are used to produce your drafts and nothing else. They are not sold, shared for advertising, or used to train third-party models.

Is DictaFlex a medical or legal decision-making tool?

No. It is a documentation tool. Clinical and legal judgement stays with you, and no document is finalised without a qualified person approving it.

How accurate is the transcription?

Accuracy is high with a decent microphone and clear speech, but never assume perfection. Always read the draft before approving it, particularly names, doses, dates and figures.

Can several people work in one account?

Yes. You can invite colleagues, give each person a role such as clinician, typist, reviewer or auditor, and route work through a review queue.

How do I get help?

Signed-in users can raise a support ticket from the dashboard and track its progress. Anyone else can use the contact page.
